The Top Reasons To Hire An Elopement Videographer
this is the start of your visual legacy
let's honor and tell your story in the way it deserves
A Quick Overview & Welcome
Let's Dive In A Bit Deeper

Just Know This:
There’s so much more to your story than just your wedding day.
It’s about the journey that brought you to where you are today and how it’s going to shape you in the future. It not only adds context to your wedding day, but also tells the full story of you as people, rather than just who you are on your wedding day. Rather than just having a highlight of the happenings, we'll take the approach of storytelling in a cinematic lens to create something truly memorable and unique to who you are.
Oftentimes, copules decide against hiring a wedding or elopement videographer for several reasons...
However, hiring a filmmaker vs a traditional videographer can have quite the opposite effect
Reason #1:
Don't get it wrong, I firmly believe that photos are extremely important! However, photos don't allow you to hear each others voices. Rather than seeing 1/500th of a second of each moment (aka a photo) you'll be able to relive the moment in its entirety. For me, it's the little things like your conversation, gestures, and the overall display of your personality.
Each little moment tells the truth and honestly of your relationship and who you are as people. With a hands off approach, we'll put you in a more natural setting and allow you to truly be you. Rather than the traditional cheesy wedding video poses and forced moments, these will be real life moments that you'll find yourself doing in everyday life, it just happens to be your wedding!

Reason #2:

Oftentimes, taking a step out of your world to view yourselves can give you a new perspective. While being in the moment is key, seeing your story and day play out is powerful. It will allow you to view yourselves in your own world, and not just see, but feel the emotion all over again. In the end, it will be like watching a movie of your life play out.

Being able to live out your day again from a different perspective is an incredible way to see your story. Think of it like watching a movie. You’re seeing a story though the eyes of someone else, it just happens to be you! You are the main characters, and you’ll get to see your own story unfold in addition to having the memory of it all just to yourselves.
Reason #3:
You’ll Hear The Sincerity and Emotion Each Others Voices

Hearing each others voices is powerful. While your voices might seem familiar now, think of 10, 25, or even 50 years from now. You’ll be able to re-live what turned out to be just the beginning of your relationship, and see that while you have changed, you also well… haven’t changed too much after all. Having yourself documented in this way isn’t just for you now, but also in the future.

Reason #4:

It’s not just about the way your significant other talks to you, but rather the way they look at you for the first time in your wedding attire or how they look as you as you say your vows. There’s so many layers to your story and relationship and these things are all parts of it. While photos will capture these things, there’s something about the uncut moment in real time that just hits different.
There’s so much emotion that happens on a wedding day, and seeing it again in real time is powerful. Being able to re-live it in it’s entirety just as it was is nothing short of poetic. Your story will be built around who you are, and your film will truly showcase that. For me, it’s all the little moments like these that truly speak the loudest.

Reason #5:
Your Film Will Only Enhance The Memory Of Your Day

They really do! Even intentional elopements can feel short, because it’s just a day or two of your life. However, having rolling video of your day will be sure to capture many moments that you might have missed while soaking in a mountain view, or were off putting on that cool suit jacket you hand picked. It’s always about what’s going on where you are, but what you also can’t always see or hear.
Films also allow you to view your wedding day from the perspective of your filmmaker. While you hold the memories, a wedding film from a unique perspective can allow you to reflect on a moment how your filmmaker saw it, in it’s cinematic goodness. It’s not meant to replace your memories, only enhance them.
Reason #6:
Remembering The Visual Legacy Of Your Family Members

While not everyone has guests at their elopement, if you’re planning on having family members present, capturing their legacy is a great gift not just for yourselves in the future, but also your future family. Instead of just explaining to your future family who your parents were, pull out your wedding film and actually show them. It’s a humbling experience to see
Reason #7:

This one is my shameless plug for just making you look cool. However, like we discussed before, your relationship is incredibly unique and it deserves to be told in a way that reflects that. With over 6+ years of experience, your film shouldn't just be a highlight of short clips of you checking off the list of things you normally do on a wedding day, it should focus on who you are as a person.
It’s exactly what it sounds like. Let’s ditch the traditional timeline and wedding day happenings to make a movie of who you are. Don’t get me wrong, there won’t be a script, but there will be a plan. We’ll create a dream day that’s 100% representative of who you are as a couple and set you loose to live it out. I’ll be there to capture it all and make it look like something you’d see in a movie theater.
Reason #8:

While you can have family at your elopement, oftentimes, you don’t have all of your core people present. It’s not that you don’t love or value them, but a sense that this is a journey that just you two were meant to experience together. However, having an elopement film to tell your story is a great way to bring others into your day. If you’re fearful that not inviting guests will leave some upset or offended, just share your film with them and it’s going to be hard form them to deny that it wasn’t meant to be this way.
