Notably featuring a prime location in one of Colorado‘s most popular outdoor focused communities (Boulder), it’s the perfect host for both local and destination weddings. In addition to the beautiful backdrop of Boulder, the St. Julien is a very beautiful property in and of it’s own.
Notably, between multiple indoor and outdoor options for ceremonies and receptions, it’s highly customizable. Featuring three ballroom options in addition to a pristine outdoor courtyard with multiple nooks, it’s easy to customize the layout of your event. In addition, the spaces are beautiful, highly customizable and in my opinion – make the St. Julien the best wedding venue in Boulder.
St. Julien Hotel Wedding Cost & Key Cost Factors (2026 & 2027)
Venue Rental Fee
The site rental fee for the St. Julien starts at $10,000 for peak season (April-October) and $6,000 for off season (November-March). A ceremony fee also applies and is $600 regardless of the season.
Availability:
The venue is available for weddings year-round and features beautiful indoor and outdoor options for each season.
Guest Limit:
The St. Julien Hotel can host up to 230 guests. Notably, the venue can accommodate smaller events upon request.
Food & Beverage Overview:
Notably, the St. Julien handles all food and beverage services and outside food and beverage vendors are not allowed. On average, catering services range between $160-225 per person in addition to bar service starting at $78 per person.
In addition, for peak-season Saturday weddings (April-October) there is a $24,000 food and beverage minimum. Likewise, peak season Friday & Sunday weddings have a $14,000 minimum.
Lastly, a 20% service charge in addition to taxes (approx. 8.8%) apply to all food and beverage services.

From a shooting perspective, the St. Julien is a very easy and straightforward wedding venue to shoot at. Lastly, featuring lots of natural light opportunities and greenery in the courtyards, it makes for a beautiful mountain backdrop while also allowing easy access to downtown Boulder.

Overall, I’ve always had a great experience capturing weddings at the St. Julien. Likewise, the venue staff is top quality and the overall experience of the venue is straightforward. Notably, the St. Julien is also the most expensive wedding venue in Boulder. Peak season Saturday weddings can easily exceed $65,000 just for the venue + food and beverage alone. However, it is a more upscale and luxurious service focused & award winning wedding venue and hotel that take great pride in what they do.

Weddings At The St. Julien From An Experienced Wedding Photographer and Videographer‘s Perspective
I’ve now photographed and filmed two weddings at the St. Julien and each experience has been great.
