Francis Sylvest
I’m a wedding photographer and videographer who has been based in Colorado since 2018. I’ve been photographing weddings and elopements since 2016, starting out in New Orleans before making the move to Colorado. My style is laid back and honest, capturing the natural, timeless and authentic moments of wedding days.
Since 2016 I’ve photographed and filmed over 100 weddings and elopements – from atop Icelandic Glaciers, to the mountaintops of New Zealand, and of course my beautiful home in Colorado.
Key Steps To Take Before Booking Your Venue
Determine Your Final Budget
To determine your final budget there are several factors to explore. Just remember – when in doubt, it’s always best to check with the venue staff to see what they would suggest.
Estimate Your Wedding Guest Count
To find a venue that will meet your requirements – you first have to determine if it is big enough and can accommodate your guest count. In addition, it will need to not only fit your guest count, but fit them comfortably. While a venue might fit your guest count – it’s key to determine if it will be large enough to host your event in a way that does not feel cramped.
On average – it’s expected that 20-30% of your invites will not be able to make your event.
Evaluate The Size Of The Venue
While an overcrowded venue isn’t ideal, oftentimes and under populated one is as well! Oftentimes, a push in either direction of the spectrum will result in the space feeling off. In most cases, it’s best to plan for 60-80% capacity – dependent on the layout of the venue. To better evaluate the size of the venue, ask the venue staff if they have any photographs of prior events with details of how many guests were present.
Read Reviews About The Venues
This is one of the most important things you can do before scheduling a tour with a venue. To find the most up to date reviews, check out the business on Google by simply searching the venue name and looking at their reviews. In addition, another great place to see reviews is on Wedding Wire and The Knot.
This will allow you to see the venues track record. Ultimately, it will give you first hand insight to how they will perform on your wedding day and whether you can trust them with your event.
Do They Have The Amenities You Hoped For?
Does the venue have an indoor or outdoor ceremony location? Do they work with the other vendors you are looking to hire (some venues have a set list of in-house vendors). All of these things are important to consider.

Wedding Photographers In Colorado – How Much Do They Cost?

Your photographs will be very well photographed, selected and consistently edited – giving you the most timeless collection of photos in addition to a seamless, professional, experience.
On the other hand, less experienced photographers can still do good work, but likely haven’t fully developed in their craft yet. Just note – while this might be true in a lot of circumstances, it does not 100% mean that this will be your experience with a more budget focused photographer.
