Colorado hiking elopements are definitely some of my favorites! This one in particular started at 4:30 when we hit the trail to the top of Quandary Peak near Breckenridge. Quandary sits at over 14,000 feet and features some of the most incredible views in all of Colorado. As we made our way up the trail & above the tree line the sun began to hit the surrounding mountains with bright, vibrant colors.
After taking in the sunrise & taking more portraits on a ridge above the trees, we continued our trek up the mountain. The hike was close to 7 miles round trip & had over 3,000 feet of elevation gain. We summited mid-morning and made our way to an overlook on the backside of the peak. Celina & Graham the exchanged vows in one of the best backdrops Colorado has to offer. While not for the fait of heart, it was an incredibly grand way to elope, and was a perfect way to elope in Colorado.
Want to elope on the top of a Colorado 14er? I'd love to help! Elopement photographers are often up for an adventure, and 14ers are no exception. While they do require some additional preparation and coordination compared to a standard hike, but it's a truly rewarding experience.
Don't have much hiking experience? If you're in good physical shape you should be able to reach the peak, but it might not be the best fit for your elopement. 14ers can be strenuous for many people regardless of their physical shape. It's part of my job to make sure you're adequately prepared before embarking on your adventure.
